Carol Whipple

As a member of a multiple-generation family living and working in Northern Douglas County I was raised in Drain and returned from graduate school to Elkton in 1972 where I have lived since.

My engagement with working lands is in my bones at a lifelong level, be it being raised in a saw-milling family sourcing logs to feed the mill to undergrad work in Farm Crops at OSU followed by a Masters in Ruminant Nutrition from Colorado State University and back to the home place as we raised forage for cattle and sheep until the late 90’s.

Today I have returned to my roots of forest management right up to this very day and for the foreseeable future.
