Jasmine Zimmer-Stucky, Working Lands Engagement Coordinator

Jasmine is our Working Lands Engagement Coordinator. Oregon’s farmers, ranchers, and foresters provide critical guidance and expertise to protect our state’s landmark land use goals, and Jasmine assists in the coordination and amplification of this rural network of land use advocates. Her work supports the Farmer Advisory Committee and the Affiliate program at 1000 Friends of Oregon.

Born and raised in Oregon, Jasmine has had a lifetime to experience the benefits of Oregon’s land use planning and the opportunity to explore all corners of the state. Prior to joining 1000 Friends, Jasmine was the Senior Organizer at the clean water advocacy organization, Columbia Riverkeeper. At Riverkeeper, Jasmine led campaigns and coalitions to protect the Pacific Northwest from fossil fuel export proposals. She holds a B.A. from the University of Oregon.

As Tom McCall famously said, “Oregon is an inspiration.” For Jasmine, Oregon has always been—and continues to be—a place where beautiful places inspire passionate people to create extraordinary outcomes.

Jasmine’s favorite place in Oregon is anywhere with a river to raft, or a lake to jump in. She is a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Corbett Fire Department and has a nascent u-pick blueberry farm.
