Andrew Mulkey

Senior Staff Attorney

As our Senior Staff Attorney, Andrew runs our Cooperating Attorney Program and helps our affiliates and members of the public enforce and uphold Oregon's land use laws on farm and forestland. Andrew graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law and is a member of the Oregon and California Bars. In 2017, with generous mentorship from other land use practitioners, Andrew started his own land use practice in Eugene, where he provided low bono legal services to non-profits, farmers, and foresters seeking to protect Oregon's working farm and forest lands. At 1000 Friends, Andrew continues to serve residents and communities across the state to protect Oregon's rural lands.

As Governor Tom McCall famously said, "Oregon is an inspiration." For Andrew, its the community of people who work every day to protect Oregon's natural beauty, its farms, forests, and mountains that provide inspiration. No one can do everything, but together we can each play a role in protecting Oregon's iconic landscapes for ourselves and future generations.

In Oregon, Andrew's favorite place is near the top of the south side of Mt. Hood on the rare days when you can look down on a field of corn snow and see Mt. Jefferson in the distance.

Away from work, Andrew enjoys being outdoors with friends in beautiful places.
