You already know that supporting 1000 Friends is good for Oregon. Thanks to the CARES Act, you may be able to claim some significant benefits for yourself, too:
- If you DON'T itemize your taxes: In 2021, you may deduct up to $300 for charitable donations made in 2020.
- If you DO itemize your taxes: In 2021, you may deduct up to 100% of your adjusted gross income (AGI) for charitable donations made in 2020. This is an increase from the usual limit of 60% AGI.
- If you donate through your business: In 2021, your corporation may deduct up to 25% of its taxable income for charitable donations made in 2020. This is an increase from the usual corporate donation limit of 10% of taxable income for the year.
