It’s here! From newspapers to the halls of the Oregon capitol, our statewide land use system became part of major headline issues this year: semiconductor expansions, housing-production strategies, and an entire corridor upgrade along the I-5 bridge from Oregon to Washington.
Our 2023 Annual Report includes major highlights throughout the year made possible because of you and tens of thousands of Oregonians who have come together to make a better today and tomorrow possible. Together, we learned how to maneuver around powerful special interests and be effective land use advocates that create a win-win approach.
I hope you’ll take some time to read through how 1000 Friends of Oregon defended the values, land use protections, and way of life that make this state so special.
Let us rest, recharge, and reunite during the last weeks of 2023. We have much to celebrate and we have momentum to carry forward into the new year to take on some of the biggest challenges we face as Oregonians.
