When we get land conservation and development decisions right, we foster a more sustainable and resilient Oregon for all. But when we get them wrong, we pay the price for our decisions – whether it's in our quality of life, health, safety, or prosperity.
Your experiences and insights are essential in shaping the future of land conservation and development efforts in this state. With your help, we can get more of these efforts back on track and shape a better Oregon for generations to come.
As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we look to the future. After all, that’s what good land use planning is all about: foresight. Our Strategic Planning Team wants to learn about pressing needs, challenges, and benefits of the land use system that affect your daily life and your community. This survey is one of many ways that the 1000 Friends of Oregon's board of directors can understand how to better tailor our land use planning, policy research, community organizing, and programming.
Your questions, concerns, and ideas will help the board of directors identify which major threats and opportunities we should prioritize in the coming five years. Even more important: You will help the board of directors understand why, where, and how.
