Christian holds degrees in economics and community development, and has a master's of public policy research and analysis from the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government at Portland State University. His past policy work includes community economic development, transportation systems planning, rural economic resiliency, municipal budgeting analytics, and workforce development for women in trades. Christian lives in Southeast Portland with his wife, Erica, and their two cats, Francis and Larry. He enjoys gardening, travel, and racing alongside his friends in the annual Portland Adult Soapbox Derby.
