PARTICIPATING EVENT: Fall in Love with the Future: Empowering Local Climate Action through Education, Policy and Practice

NOTE: The day’s events will take place in the Council Chamber located in Fowler Student Center on the Lewis and Clark College campus. The keynote will take place in the Chapel on the Lewis and Clark College campus.

Join 1000 Friends of Oregon and other community advocates for a day of learning and organizing around climate action.

Great Communities Program Director Anna Kemper will be on a panel that begins at 1:00 PM, discussing climate-centric transportation—specifically how EVs, public transportation, and other transportation alternatives fit into a climate-forward future.

Staff Attorney Eve Goldman will be on a panel that begins at 2:00 PM, covering environmental law, natural resource protection, and their intersections with climate issues. The panel will also discuss ways the public can get involved and actionable takeaways for legal issues, and provide room to discuss law school, litigation, and policy work in general for students who might be interested in that path.
