Join forest defenders and climate activists across the Pacific Northwest for the conference Forest Over Profits 2026 on September 12–13 in Portland, OR (exact location and schedule will be given when you register). This gathering will build community, power, and momentum against the exploitation of our forests and public lands.
At Forests Over Profits, you'll hear from ongoing land defense campaigns—like 1000 Friends of Oregon’s work to protect our communities and lands from data center development. On Saturday, September 12, 1000 Friends of Oregon Executive Director Sam Diaz will join a panel on data center development. Conference organizers will share and learn skills and practices for fighting back, connect with ongoing struggles for land and justice, and deepen ties between movements.
Sam’s panel will also feature:
