1000 Friends of Oregon is in Willamette Week’s Give!Guide

By Anna Kemper | 2-minute read

For the first time since 2018, 1000 Friends of Oregon is participating in Willamette Week’s Give!Guide. It’s more than just a fundraiser – it’s an opportunity for people who support smart land use to discover us and, in turn, for donors to win exciting prizes during the campaign’s thirteen Big Give Days. The 2024 season kicks off today, November 1.

Today, Oregon stands at a crossroads. The pressures to pave over farmland and forests are mounting once again, and our needs for affordable housing and safe transportation options in urban areas continue to grow. But with strong support from new and longtime donors during this year’s Give!Guide, we’re working to ensure a thriving Oregon for generations to come.

Modo Yoga and Winter’s Hill Estate are offering our donors some exclusive incentives

In addition to the Big Give Day prizes, which all donors giving more than $10 that day will be entered to win, when you give to us through Give!Guide, you can get access to a few select prizes:

  • All donors of $25 or more receive a complimentary yoga class to Modo Yoga Portland AND a free juice or smoothie from their adjacent café, O’Vive Cafe.
  • The first five donors of $125 or more receive a complimentary three-month membership to Modo Yoga.
  • All donors of $25 or more will receive a coupon for a “buy one, get one free” bottle of wine (valid online or in person), compliments of Winter’s Hill Estate in Dayton (21+ donors only).

Plus, we’re partnering with five other participating nonprofits we adore

1000 Friends of Oregon has partnered with Crag Law Center, Columbia Slough Watershed Council, The Street Trust, Street Roots, and the Coalition of Oregon Land Trusts. These are organizations we’re proud to partner with year-round, and we hope you’ll consider supporting them as well.

We never do anything alone. The strength of our partnerships helps us fight for healthy, thriving neighborhoods, train the next generation of land use leaders, advocate for housing policy that meets the needs of Oregonians who need it most, and more – and we can’t do it without your support.

Support 1000 Friends of Oregon this giving season and help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 through individual donations.
