Communications Director
Krystal managed 1000 Friends of Oregon’s communications from 2023 to 2025, helping to get the word out about essential programs that protect our state’s land use planning system for the benefit of communities and lands across Oregon.
A born-and-raised Oregonian, she has roots that extend from Portland to Eugene to the Central Oregon high desert. With a degree from the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communications, Krystal has built a career across the journalism, publishing, and nonprofit sectors as an editor, designer, production manager, and all-around person of many hats. Before joining 1000 Friends of Oregon, she supported communications teams for other local nonprofits working in conservation and social, housing, and homelessness services.
