340 SE 6th Ave, Portland, Oregon
Accessibility information
Our office is located on the ground floor. Visitors using our main entrance (on 6th near the corner) will have to navigate three small steps to enter the building. A wheelchair-accessible entrance is available with prearranged use, through our garage (on Oak midway down the block). Once inside our office, there are no additional elevation changes to navigate, and the flooring surface is smooth concrete. Restrooms are not ADA compliant, but we may be able to obtain accessible facilities with advance request.
The nearest accessible parking location is approximately six blocks away, and sidewalk curb ramps between the nearest spots and our office tend to include older designs that may no longer be ADA-compliant. If you are arriving with an assistive mobility device such as a wheelchair or otherwise need guaranteed close access, we recommend letting us know in advance so that staff can reserve a nearby street parking location for you.
Sensory information
The sensory conditions for our office will change based on each event, and the following are general guidelines for what you may experience when visiting us:
For events held at our office, in-person attendees can usually expect a noisy environment with overlapping voices for at least some portion of the event, with people moving around the room. There may be background music, and some ambient street noise may be present. The space may have some echo. When we have a speaker event or presentation, we try to have one speaker at a time. Often, anyone needing a quieter zone can step away from the event into one of our enclosed meeting rooms. There is a mix of natural, task, and overhead pendant lighting, with a generally warm hue. Our office is a fragrance-free workplace, but cannot determine attendees’ personal fragrances or any fragrances within spaces shared with other building tenants, and some events may have food smells.
Transit information
The nearest stop is at the intersection of Grand Ave and Stark Street, accessible via Streetcar or the number 6 bus line. Additional bus lines run nearby. Plan your trip by transit.
Bike parking
Five bike spaces, with outlets for electric, are available inside the building via our garage (on Oak midway down the block).
Vehicle parking
Parking is on street, with a mix of visitor parking and pay-to-park zoning via Parking Kitty. All nearby parking locations have a two-hour limit.
