Jacky Lee

Oregon for Everyone Manager

Jacky has spent the past five years dedicating time and energy to community organizing in Corvallis around climate and housing justice issues. Their passion for community organizing began in 2019 when they became a leader in Sunrise Corvallis and later joined Stop the Sweeps. They have since been organizing young people to get involved with local climate and housing policy, as well as local mutual aid efforts. In 2024, Jacky campaign-managed a six-person City Council slate, which saw two young progressive organizers elected to local office. Recently they have been working on building a housing justice coalition to unite activists, service providers, and community members around a shared vision of addressing the homelessness crisis in Corvallis.

Jacky received their BS in environmental science with specializations in environmental policy and agriculture at Oregon State University, and conducted research on housing rebuilding policy in Oregon communities impacted by wildfire. They also participated in the 1000 Friends LULI cohort in 2021, which was a foundational learning experience around land use and housing.

Jacky has worked as a birth doula, and is passionate about the intersection between reproductive, environmental, and housing justice. They like to dream big about building resilient spaces and communities for generations to come.

Jacky is deeply involved in their community and spends their free time with friends of all species.
