When we launched our Working Lands Photo Contest last month, we were excited to see how you see Oregon’s farms, forestlands, and ranches. And you delivered!
This was the first photo contest we’ve run and as we pored through entries from Oregonians across the state—showcasing barns, equipment, animals, farmers, and more—you showed us just how special and beautiful you think Oregon’s working landscapes are. Thank you for sharing your incredible photos and for celebrating the joys of living in Oregon with us.
Special thanks to our sponsors: Tamron, for providing us with our grand prize of a new 18-300mm zoom lens, and the Portland Timbers, for adding tickets to a 2026 game.
And now for our winners…
Congratulations to Paloma Ayala for winning the grand prize with her photo of an orchard in Mosier!
Paloma took this image earlier this spring, and says: “I’ve been capturing images of these orchards from various angles for the past 15 years, which has deepened my appreciation for their changing seasons and natural beauty. I especially enjoy photographing agricultural landscapes because they tell a powerful story of hard work and effortless, perfect compositions.”
Our runner-up is Jurgen Hess. We loved how Jurgen’s image showcased the connection between farmer and farmland—plus those gorgeous, rolling hills!
We also want to show off some of the other amazing entries we’ve received. Keep an eye on our social media accounts for a special post featuring more great images celebrating Oregon’s working lands.
